Usually I choose venues that where I can keep an eye on the entrance, and if I see someone looking left and right or a bit lost, I'll usually come up to say hello.
If you've RSVP'd to my event through eventbrite or meetup, I'll send an email to everyone the night before, to give clear details about where to find me.
